INNOVATION Waubonsee's Plano Campus is being transformed into the college's Innovation and Design Center! This reimagined campus is a place where innovation, creativity, and partnerships lead to degrees, industry certifications, a skilled workforce, and community collaboration. Re-opening this August, the center will feature Computer Aided Design and Drafting. Welding Technology and our exciting new Cybersecurity program. Waubonsee's Computer Aided Design and Drafting classes are taught by faculty with decades of active, real-world experience- which means students get the knowledge they need for the career they want. The Innovation and Design Center's well- equipped learning labs are high-tech settings for students to study everything from basic drafting to rapid prototyping and reverse engineering. Students learn 2-D, 3-D, and solid modeling using Autodesk products such as AutoCAD 2-D, 3-D, Inventor and Revit. SolidWorks is used to teach modeling and parametric design. waubonsee.edu/CAD 154 Cybersecurity jobs are expected to grow in our area. Workers in this hot field manage information security for all types of organizations. Waubonsee's Innovation and Design Center is the place to train for this career.
